Tejas Verdes (Green Gables), once a luxury seaside hotel was an infamous Chilean detention centre operated by the Chilean Army following the 1973 coup by General Augusto Pinochet against President Salvador Allende. During a notorious period of repression, disappearance and extra-judicial killing, at least 3000 people became known as the ‘disappeared’. Fermin Cabal's humane and powerful play traces the life of Colorina, a young woman who vanished one night in Santiago.
